Abstract
This study aims to review the policies of the Department of Manpower in opening and expanding job opportunities in the city of Medan. The purpose of job training is to increase productivity, quality, support HR planning so that it can trigger the expansion of job opportunities. The research method uses a qualitative method with a descriptive analysis approach. The results of the study indicate that the policy on training and expansion of the workforce is contained in the policy for the Implementation of Domestic Apprenticeship Activities. Through training policies in the form of internships, workers can experience firsthand how tight and tight competition is in the world of work and productivity in it.
