Abstract

Work discipline is a tool used by leaders to communicate with their employees so that they are willing to increase the awareness of an employee in obeying all applicable social rules and norms. The purpose of this study was to determine the technique of implementing work discipline at the North Labuhan Batu Regency DPRD office, the factors that influence work discipline at the North Labuhan Batu Regency DPRD office and efforts to improve work discipline at the North Labuhan Batu Regency DPRD office. This study uses descriptive qualitative research, and uses primary data sourced from direct observation at the DPRD office of North Labuhan Batu Regency. The results showed that the discipline that occurred in the DPRD office of North Labuhan Batu Regency was categorized as good. It can be seen how the steps taken by the LabuhanBatu Regency DPRD office in improving work discipline and discipline implementation techniques at the LabuhanBatu Regency DPRD office. And in an effort to improve work discipline at the LabuhanBatu Regency DPRD office, it also provides solutions for employees who violate work discipline, namely by providing sanctions in the form of verbal warnings, warning letters and the most severe is dismissal as an employee at the LabuhanBatu Regency DPRD.
