Analisis Mengelola Eksposur Transaksi Menggunakan Teknik Hedging Pada Perusahaan Multinasional Studi Kasus PT Pertamina

Abstract

This research journal discusses the analysis of managing transaction exposure using hedging techniques in multinational companies. The purpose of this research is to analyze the management of transaction exposure using hedging techniques in the case study multinational company PT. Pertamina. The problem solver from this research journal regarding transaction exposure with hedging techniques used by PT. PERTAMINA. The method used is descriptive quantitative research. The method is in the form of written notes, typed interview transcripts, or video and audio recordings that contain data information that is sorted and analyzed to serve as a reference in this research. The technique of data collection methods in this study is by researchers using various references, such as references from previous research journals, book references or references from Google. The main result can be concluded that to manage transaction exposure using the contact forward hedging technique at PT. Pertamina to avoid losses. The contact forward hedging technique provides readiness in dealing with fluctuating exchange rates and interest rates that tend to rise. The impact is that the company can know accurate receipts and expenditures so as to increase the company's cash, can maintain the stability of the exchange rate so as not to experience losses in the future, experience the risk of movements in foreign exchange (forex) exchange rates, experience exchange losses, if there is debt to the company it will result in losses in the company's financial statements and prevent the company from going out of business or going bankrupt.
